Jiuzhou, a major API manufacturer, has operated three refrigeration systems with Glacier Coolant since 2009. The coolant has remained clear and transparent, with good cooling performance and no corrosion to metal.
Zhejiang Jiuzhou Pharmaceutical was founded in 1998 and is a listed company. Its main business covers active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and one-stop CDMO services for large international pharmaceutical companies. It is a major manufacturer of carbamazepine, oxcarbazepine, ketoprofen and gliclazide APIs, and has been recognised as a national high-tech enterprise and one of China's top 100 pharmaceutical companies.
In 2009 Jiuzhou began using Glacier Coolant in three refrigeration systems. The original project report states the systems are operating well, with good cooling performance and no corrosion to metal, and that the liquid circulation system has remained clear and transparent.
Pharmaceutical low-temperature processing is one of the applications the Glacier catalogue describes for the LM-8 coolant family, which is based on modified organic acid salts and presented as non-combustible with strong cooling and anti-rust performance for carbon steel, stainless steel and copper.
